What is JROTC?The Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) is a leadership development course, for high school students. The curriculum is dynamic and modern which includes service learning and focuses on the student's core abilities to fulfill our mission statement. Physical education credits and or elective credits can be earned through this course. JROTC is JUNIOR, RESERVE, OFFICER, TRAINING, CORPS. JROTC is designed to teach the value of citizenship, leadership, service to the community, personal responsibility, and a sense of self-esteem, teamwork, and self-discipline. This course prepares you for responsible leadership roles while making you aware of your rights, responsibilities, and privileges as an American citizen.
The JROTC Program teaches students to become better citizens, its not a recruiting tool for the Armed Forces and its intent is not to enlist students in the military. Our structure is military base however. Students enter the JROTC program as Cadet Privates and from there based on their performance and leadership skills they begin to get promoted. The rank structure is on this website as well. Throughout this website you will see some of the activities that we do and some of the performances that participate in. Of course with all other military units, we too have our own chain of command.
